Polizei Bataillon 103 (3.Komp)

Polizei Bataillon 103 was created in Hamburg (formed in Poland) September 1939 (renamed from Polizei Bataillon III/2). Battalion commander was Major Heinrich Schulz. Stationed to Poland (Posen) on 6th September 1939 they were part of Polizeigruppe 2 under Armeeoberkommando 10. The battalion participated in the period up to 8th May 1940 in the resettlement of the Polish and Jewish population in the Generalgouvernement. Pol.Btl.103 returned to Hamburg on 8th May 1940 & became I.Polizei Regiment 12 in July 1942. This is a photo album of a man from the 3.kompanie, Polizei Bataillon 103. The pictures date from mid to late 1940 through to mid-1941. These pictures are from the period after returning from Poland & before becoming Polizei Regiment 12. The locations include Hamburg (Sprinkenhof & Adolf Hitler Kaserne, Bundestrasse), Preetz, Lubeck, Kiel (Eiderkrug am Schulensee, Holtenau, Weltingdorf, Oppendorfer Mühle) & Lahoe (Marine-Ehrenmal).
